Delhi Police head constable allegedly shoots wife dead on her birthday, flees

New Delhi, July 13 (UNI): A Delhi Police head constable allegedly shot his wife dead in East Delhi's Vinod Nagar in the early hours of Monday following an argument on her birthday.
The incident took place near LBS Hospital in the East Vinod Nagar area at around 3 am. According to police sources, the accused, identified as Manish Bhati, is posted with the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) of the East District. The entire incident was reportedly captured on a nearby CCTV camera.
The victim, Priyanka, had been married to the accused for around three years. Her family members said July 13 was her birthday.
