Delhi Police bust cybercrime syndicate: 9 arrested, over Rs 5.24 crore fraud uncovered

New Delhi, Dec 13 (UNI) The Intelligence Fusion & Strategic Operations (IFSO) unit of the Delhi Police has busted a cybercrime syndicate operating from the national capital, arresting nine people and uncovering fraudulent transactions exceeding ₹5.24 crore, an official said on Saturday.
Acting on specific intelligence inputs, a team from the Special Cell’s Cyber Cell conducted a raid at a hotel in Dwarka on November 26, during which four accused were apprehended.
"The accused, Sultan Salim Shaikh and Satish Kumar from Maharashtra, Sayed Ahmad Choudhary, a native of Karnataka, and Tushar Maliya, a resident of Delhi, were found operating from a hotel room and allegedly providing bank accounts for cyber-fraud activities while frequently changing locations to evade law enforcement," Vinit Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Police (IFSO) said.
