Delhi Police appeals protesters to exercise restraint & cooperate in maintaining peace, law & order

New Delhi, Jul 20 (UNI) The Delhi Police have appealed to the protestors supporting the Cockroach Janta Party's demonstration, to maintain peace, exercise restraint and cooperate with the police personnel in ensuring public order and peace.
In an appeal to the participants, the Delhi Police have requested them to conduct themselves in a peaceful manner, refrain from indulging in any unlawful, or violent activities, and a the same time comply with the lawful directions issued by the officers and police personnel deployed on duty.
In a video message, Delhi Police's Public Relations Officer (PRO), Additional Commissioner of Police Rajeev Ranjan said that the public is advised not to believe or circulate rumours, misinformation or unverified content through any platform, including social media.

Six held, over 9,400 quarters of illicit liquor seized in Outer North Delhi

New Delhi, Aug 15 (UNI) Delhi Police has arrested six alleged bootleggers and seized 9,430 quarters and 1,000 pouches of illicit liquor, during a special enforcement drive against the illegal liquor trade in Outer North district, officials said on Saturday.
According to police, six cases were registered under the Delhi Excise Act following coordinated raids, surveillance and checking operations conducted across vulnerable areas of the district on August 14.
