Delhi huddle signals BJP’s Punjab push ahead of 2027 elections

Chandigarh, Jun 12 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party's central leadership has called an important meeting of Punjab BJP leaders in New Delhi with discussions expected to focus on organisational restructuring, the party's preparations for the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections, and the upcoming visit of the BJP national president to the state.
According to party sources, the meeting on Friday evening will be chaired by BJP National General Secretary (Organisation) B.L. Santhosh and will bring together Punjab BJP president Kewal Singh Dhillon, former state presidents Sunil Jakhar and Ashwani Sharma, along with several senior leaders of the state unit.
The meeting assumes significance as it comes shortly after the appointment of Dhillon as the new Punjab BJP chief. Party insiders indicated that deliberations are likely to include the formation of a new state executive and the appointment of key office-bearers as the BJP seeks to strengthen its organisational structure ahead of future electoral battles.
