Delhi govt to reopen hostels for underprivileged students: Minister Indraj Singh

New Delhi, Nov 6 (UNI) Delhi Government’s Minister for SC/ST/OBC Welfare Ravinder Indraj Singh on Thursday said the state Government plans to reopen all the closed hostels for underprivileged students and construct new ones.
He said this while undertaking inspection of the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences, Delhi Government Senior Secondary Residential School, located in Isapur village, Najafgarh, on Thursday.
The minister also held detailed discussions with concerned officials and local residents regarding Delhi Government’s educational and residential welfare schemes for students.

IndiGo receives tax penalty notice of Rs 58 75 crore

New Delhi, Dec 12 (UNI) The crisis-ridden IndiGo received a tax penalty notice of Rs 58.75 crore on December 11 from the Additional Commissioner of CGST, Delhi South Commissionerate, for the financial year 2020-21, the company announced on Friday.
In a filing to the BSE, IndiGo termed the tax order erroneous. It asserted that it has a strong case on merits, supported by external tax advisors.
