Delhi Environment Dept plans upgrades to Dust Portal, Green Delhi app

New Delhi, Dec 9 (UNI) In a bid to strengthen real-time pollution monitoring and citizen grievance redressal in Delhi, Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa on Tuesday directed officials to upgrade the Dust Portal and Green Delhi app.
Highlighting the utility of app-based monitoring in Pollution mitigation efforts, Sirsa said, “Technology is our greatest strength in pollution control. Tools like Dust Portal 2.0 will allow us to detect violations in real time and ensure prompt action. This will make the entire process transparent and accountable.”
According to the officials from the department, the new Dust Portal will automatically demarcate construction site boundaries using Geographic Information System (GIS), which will carry out automated compliance checks and issue colour-coded alerts based on air quality levels.
