Delhi court hears defamation complaint against CM Atishi

New Delhi, Feb 6 (UNI) A Delhi Court on Thursday adjourned for further hearing a defamation complaint filed against the Union Territory's Chief Minister Atishi Marlena and AAP MP Sanjay Singh.
The court adjourned the matter for hearing further arguments on point of taking cognisance on February 19.
Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM) Paras Dalal after hearing the matter fixed the next date of hearing after the counsel appearing on behalf of the proposed accused sought time to file vakalatnama and address arguments.

The court said,"Matter be fixed for further arguments on 19.02.2025 at 10:30 am".
Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit had earlier filed a fresh complaint alleging that the two proposed accused have made defamatory allegation during their press conference on December 28 last year.
The proposed accused persons during the media conference had alleged that Dixit colluded with the opposition political party BJP to receive crores of rupees.
The complainant has alleged that vide the statements of the proposed accused person, his image has been tarnished and defamed which was published and circulated in the media.
Moreover, the complainant has alleged that Atishi reiterated the allegations through a post on her ‘X’ handle.
