Delhi CM Atishi files nomination for Kalkaji assembly seat

New Delhi, Jan 14 (UNI) Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader and Delhi Chief Minister Atishi on Tuesday filed her nomination for the Kalkaji Assembly constituency.
Atishi is contesting against BJP's Ramesh Singh Bidhuri and Congress' Alka Lamba.
Addressing the media after filing her nomination, Atishi said, “Today, on this auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, I have filed my nomination from the Kalkaji Assembly seat. I am fully confident that, just as I have received immense affection and support from the elderly, women, and children of Kalkaji over the past five years, I will continue to have their blessings in the upcoming election.”
“I have filed my nomination with a firm resolve to carry forward Arvind Kejriwal's vision of honest politics. Over the past five years, I have been overwhelmed by the love and support of the people of Kalkaji. I am confident that their blessings will be with me in this election too,” she said.
Party candidates from Shahdara, Jitendra Singh Shunty, and Dinesh Mahoniya from Sangam Vihar also filed their nomination papers today."
The Delhi Assembly election was scheduled for February 5, with vote counting set for 8th February.
