Delhi celebrates Tamil Nadu Day with grand cultural showcase at Secretariat

New Delhi, Jul 17 (UNI) Delhi celebrated Tamil Nadu Day with a vibrant cultural programme at the Delhi Secretariat on Friday, showcasing the state's rich artistic and cultural traditions through captivating performances of Bharatanatyam, Karagattam, Kavadi Attam, and Karagam folk dances. The event, featuring 20 artistes, included devotional performances dedicated to Goddess Mariamman and Lord Murugan and drew enthusiastic applause from the audience.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, extending greetings on the occasion, described Tamil Nadu Day as a celebration of India's cultural diversity, glorious traditions, and national unity.
Stating that the state has played a pivotal role in taking Indian culture to the global stage through its classical language, literature, music, dance, and architectural heritage, Gupta said, "Tamil Nadu Day is a celebration of India's cultural diversity, glorious traditions, and national unity. Tamil Nadu has given Indian culture global recognition through its rich language, literature, classical music, Bharatanatyam, and magnificent architectural heritage."
