Delegation from Assam's Tea garden tribal communities meets Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren

Ranchi, Dec 11 (UNI) A delegation from the Adivasi Samanvay Samiti Bharat (Assam) met Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren at the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly on Thursday, placing before him the concerns and grievances of tribal families living in Assam’s tea garden regions.
The group apprised the Chief Minister of the social, economic and identity-related challenges faced by these communities.
Delegation members informed the Chief Minister that due to what they described as the indifference of the Assam government, tribal communities settled there have continued to face deprivation and backwardness in multiple spheres.
