Delay in Kangra Airport expansion, CUHP Project stuck due to Cong: Jai Ram Thakur

Dharamshala, Dec 7 ( UNI) Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition Jai Ram Thakur on Sunday accused the Congress government of stalling key development projects in Kangra district, including the expansion of Gaggal Airport and the Central University Himachal Pradesh.
In a statement issued here, Thakur said that despite three years in power, the state government had failed to release even Rs30 crore for the airport expansion. “This delay has also obstructed the Central University project. The Congress government has mastered the art of stalling development and diverting public attention,” he alleged.
Thakur claimed that Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s popularity took a hit during the recently concluded winter session in Dharamshala, saying people “did not turn up to meet him”. He added that the Chief Minister was “forced to visit schools under the pretext of a morning walk”.
