Dehra Police track missing woman, nab multiple proclaimed offenders

Dharamshala, March 15 (UNI) – A dedicated police unit of Dehra District has successfully located a woman reported missing on February 16, 2026 and reunited with her family. The police unit also arrested several proclaimed offenders in a special operation.
Dehra District Superintendent of Police Mayank Choudhary told UNI that a special unit named POMPU (Proclaimed Offender and Missing Persons Unit) has been constituted under his leadership and the unit has been tasked with ensuring swift arrest of proclaimed offenders declared by courts, enforcing court orders, and carrying out effective search operations for missing persons.
SP Mayank said that on March 14, the POMPU team successfully traced a missing woman, Neha, wife of late Shami Kumar, a resident of Kundlihar village under Karyada Post Office in Dehra tehsil. He said that her missing report had been registered at Dehra Police Station on February 16, 2026.
