DC opt to bowl against MI in WPL title clash

Mumbai, Mar 15 (UNI) Delhi Capitals Women won the toss and opted to field against Mumbai Indians Women in the final of the Women's Premier League (WPL) at Brabourne Stadium here on Saturday.
Brabourne has hosted three matches this season, all of which were won by teams batting first despite the presence of dew later in the contest.
Delhi have had a week’s break leading into the final, while Mumbai have had a packed schedule, playing three matches in the last four days, including their Eliminator win against Gujarat Giants on Thursday. Notably, Delhi have not played a single game at Brabourne this season, with their last league fixture taking place in Lucknow.
Delhi skipper Meg Lanning, after winning the toss, stated, "Going to have a bowl tonight. Conditions are going to remain the same, and it's worked for us throughout the tournament. We've had some time off to refresh and we're excited about tonight. It’s an opportunity for us. Need to play well and hopefully, it's our best performance. One change for us."
Mumbai captain Harmanpreet Kaur said, "Even we were looking to bowl. But I think anything is good for us. If we look at the stats of the last four games, teams batting first have won. Staying balanced and staying in the moment has worked for us."
With both teams boasting an array of talent and form players, an exciting contest is on the cards as the two best sides of the tournament battle for the coveted WPL title.
