Day temperatures above normal at isolated places over Haryana & Delhi

Pune, May 21 (UNI) Conditions are favourable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon over some parts of Southeast Arabian Sea, some more parts of Maldives, Comorin area and South Bay of Bengal and some more parts of Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Andaman Sea during next 2 days.

Day temperatures were markedly above normal (5.1°C or more) at isolated places over Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi; appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at many places over Punjab; at isolated places over west Uttar Pradesh; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at many places over Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, west Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat state, Arunachal Pradesh and at isolated places over west Madhya Pradesh and Madhya Maharashtra. These were markedly below normal (-5.1°C or less) at isolated places Kerala and Mahe and Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal; appreciably below normal (-3.1°C to - 5.0°C) at a few places over south Interior Karnataka, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Rayalaseema, Bihar, Telangana; and near normal over rest parts of the country.
