Daughters are enhancing country's pride across different sectors: Delhi Minister Indraj

New Delhi, Aug 14 (UNI) Delhi's Social Welfare Minister Ravinder Indraj Singh today hoisted the national flag at Ravi Shankar Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya in North West Delhi's Bawana, and extended advance greetings for Independence Day to the students, teachers, and parents present on the occasion.
The minister honored the girl students who excelled in academics, sports and other activities, while he praised the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign being led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that nation’s daughters are bringing glory to the country, be it by protecting its borders, and even exploring space.
Indraj said that both the President of India and the Chief Minister of Delhi are serving as inspiring examples of women’s empowerment, and urged the students to become self-reliant and play an active role in nation-building.
