Cultivating spices can become a substantial income source: Arunachal Minister

Itanagar, Jan 23 (UNI) Cultivating spices can become a substantial income-generating endeavour if pursued with dedication, said Arunachal Pradesh Commerce and Industry Minister Nyato Dukam while addressing the Buyer-Seller Meet for Spices at the DK Convention Centre here on Thursday.
The event, organized by the Spices Board, Itanagar, under the aegis of Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry, witnessed the participation of over 80 sellers (farmers) from across Arunachal Pradesh and 10 buyers (firms) from different parts of the country, an official communique said.
Dukam lauded the impressive turnout of sellers and urged them to take advantage of such opportunities while dedicating themselves to spice farming as a sustainable livelihood. He assured farmers of all possible assistance from the Spices Board and the state government, including subsidies, training, and market linkages.
