CSIR-NIIST, AIIMS tie-up for biomedical waste disposal tech

Thiruvananthapuram, June 25 (UNI) Council of Scientific & Industrial Research-National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (CSIR-NIIST), Thiruvananthapuram, has inked a memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, for validating the technology that offers a sustainable and energy-efficient alternative to current practices in disposing pathogenic biomedical waste.

The MoU was signed on the sidelines of the curtain raiser of CSIR’s ‘One Week One Theme’ (OWOT) programme at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi on Monday.

AP: Two get life imprisonment for raping elderly woman

Rayachoti, June 16 (UNI) Two people were sentenced to life imprisonment for raping a septagenerian woman in Annamayya district three years ago.
The seventh additional Judge G S Ramesh Kumar sentenced the two accused to life imprisonment for raping a woman on July nine, 2022.
