CSIR-IICT scientist Dr Vineet Aniya receives IEI Young Engineer Award 2025

Dr Aniya’s research focuses on the development of biodegradable and compostable polymers from renewable resources, as well as the depolymerisation of waste plastics into value-added chemicals to promote a circular economy.
His team has successfully transferred several technologies, including compostable carry bags, nanocellulose from microcrystalline cellulose, bio-based sanitary pad pulp, and green plasticisers derived from PET waste.
He is the recipient of several prestigious awards, including the INEA Young Associate Award (2024), PECFAR by IGSTC (2024), CII 3R Award (2023), Telangana State Innovation Award (2022), Young Scientist and Technologist Award by DST (2021), Amar Dye-Chem Award (2020), CSIR Technology Award (2018), and Ambuja’s Young Researcher’s Award (2015), a IICT statement said on Monday.
