For generations of fans, Sobers’ name will always be linked to one blistering afternoon in 1968 at Glamorgan’s St Helen’s ground in Swansea, where he became the first batsman in first-class cricket to smash six sixes in a single over, six balls in succession that turned a county match into global legend.
