CPI(M) to hold protest at Ramlila Maidan on Mar 24 against Centre’s policies

Hyderabad, Feb 16 (UNI) Communist Party of India (Marxist) CPI(M) General Secretary M A Baby on Monday announced that the party will organise a massive dharna at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi on March 24 to protest what he described as the Modi government’s anti-people, anti-labour and anti-farmer policies.
Addressing the media at the CPI(M) state office here along with Politburo member B V Raghavulu and State Secretary John Wesley, Baby alleged that the BJP-led Central government was pushing neo-fascist policies that are detrimental to the country.
He warned that the proposed free trade agreement with the United States poses a serious threat to India’s economy, affecting not only agriculture but all sectors and the overall GDP.

Air Marshal Bhasin was commissioned into the fighter stream of the Indian Air Force in June 1990. He is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy, Defence Services Staff College, College of Defence Management and the Royal College of Defence Studies.
