CPC urges Union govt to impress upon Bangladesh to ensure safety and security of Hindu minority community

Shillong, Aug 9 (UNI) The Central Puja Committee (CPC), the apex body of Hindu religious organisations in Meghalaya, has urged the BJP-led government at the Centre to impress upon the Bangladesh government to “ensure safety and security of Hindu minority community” facing genocide from Islamic radicals.
CPC appeals to government of India to impress upon the Bangladesh government and the United Nations to stop the gross violations of human rights of minority Hindus and other religious groups facing genocide from Islamic radicals, CPC General Secretary J.L. Das said in a statement.
CPC said the Islamic radicals are targeting places of worship of Hindu minority groups and destroying houses of the Hindus in Bangladesh.

Itanagar, Apr 20 (UNI) As part of the ongoing anti-drug campaign under Operation Dawn 2.0, Nirjuli and Papu Hills Police Stations conducted two separate operations on Saturday, resulting in the arrest of three drug peddlers and the seizure of a total of 51.45 grams of suspected heroin, Naharlagun SP Mihin Gambo said on Sunday.
