Court sentences Azam Khan to two years in hate speech case

Rampur, May 16 (UNI) A special court has sentenced former Uttar Pradesh minister and Samajwadi Party leader Mohammad Azam Khan to two years of imprisonment and a fine of Rs 20,000 on Saturday.
Azam Khan has been accused of making controversial statements regarding the then DM and current Moradabad Divisional Commissioner, Anjaneya Kumar Singh.
The verdict was given by Shobhit Bansal, Chief Judicial Magistrate First/MPMLA Court, Rampur.
