Couple and their kid killed in fire mishap near Chennai

Chennai, Mar 10 (UNI) In a tragic incident, three members of a family--a couple and their two-year-old child--were killed in a fire that broke out in a house at Kannivakkam area in suburban Guduvancherry early this morning.
Police said the victims were fast asleep when the fire broke out due to a spark from a mosquito repellent coil and engulfed the house, killing them on the spot.
The deceased were identified as Parthiban (36), a construction worker from Pandur near Guduvanchery, his wife Chitra (25), and their two-year-old daughter Jayasree.
