COP30: India urges developed nations to honour commitment

Belem (Brazil), Nov 18 (UNI) India has urged developed countries to demonstrate greater climate ambition and honour their commitments in terms of climate financing.
Addressing a high-level session of COP30 on Monday, union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav called for implementation and delivery with regard to the promises made by the developed countries earlier.
The Minister asserted, “Developed countries must reach net zero far earlier than current target dates and deliver new, additional, and concessional climate finance at a scale of trillions, not billions”.

US to introduce new entry protocol requiring foreign nationals to submit to five years' of social media screening

Washington, Dec 10 (UNI) As part of its ongoing bid to clamp down on illegal immigration, all foreign nationals entering the US may soon be required to undergo mandatory social media screening and expanded biometric screenings by federal authorities, as the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) seeks to overhaul its existing mechanisms to more effectively verify the identities of all those entering the country.
