Contribute to Armed Forces Flag Day fund: Nagaland guv

Dimapur, Dec 6 (UNI) Nagaland Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla on Saturday appealed to all citizens to contribute generously to the Armed Forces Flag Day fund, instituted for the welfare of serving defence personnel, battle casualties, war widows, and for the resettlement of ex-servicemen and their dependents.
In his greetings on Armed Forces Flag Day, observed on December 7 to honour martyrs and men & women in uniform and pay tribute to the gallant heroes who have laid down their lives in service to the motherland, Bhalla said it is our solemn duty not only to express deep admiration for the martyrs and the brave personnel who were injured in the line of duty, but also to acknowledge and support their families, who form an integral part of this sacrifice.
He hoped that the spirit of patriotism and gratitude will inspire all as we remember and honour our armed forces.
