Contract workers in Navi Mumbai civic body salary issue to be resolved soon: Fundkar

Mumbai, Feb 17 (UNI) The issue of wages of contract workers in Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation will be resolved soon, said Maharashtra Labour minister Akash Fundkar on Monday.
The Navi Mumbai Municipal commissioner should take action in this regard and resolve the issue of contract workers at the earliest, he further said.
He was speaking at a meeting organized in the Ministry of Labour's office regarding the salaries of 8,000 contractual sanitation workers and 1,008 workers working on a daily wage basis in NMMC.
