Congress wins driven by poll violations, BRS–BJP nexus exposed: Kavitha

Hyderabad, Feb 14 (UNI) Telangana Jagruthi President K. Kavitha on Saturday alleged that Congress victories in the recent municipal and panchayat elections were built on large-scale poll violations and misuse of government machinery, while the Election Commission remained silent.
Addressing a press meet at Telangana Jagruthi office here, Kavitha said 40 candidates backed by Telangana Jagruthi and All India Forward Bloc were elected, reflecting public readiness for alternative politics.
She said Congress benefitted mainly due to the absence of a strong alternative, while accusing the party of attempting to lure elected representatives in some municipalities.
