Congress targets Education minister over CBSE portal row, demands accountability

New Delhi, Jun 6 (UNI) The Congress on Saturday intensified its attack on the Centre over alleged lapses in the Central Board of Secondary Education's (CBSE) digital examination infrastructure, with senior party leader Jairam Ramesh accusing the board of being forced to admit shortcomings in its COEMPT On Mark portal and demanding accountability from Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
In a post on social media platform X, Ramesh alleged that after weeks of denying any wrongdoing and maintaining that everything was functioning properly, the CBSE had been compelled to acknowledge problems associated with the portal used for examination-related processes.
"After weeks of denying any wrongdoing and claiming that all is well with its COEMPT's On Mark portal, the CBSE has finally been forced to acknowledge COEMPT's incompetence," Ramesh said.
