Congress leaders honor Indira Gandhi on 108th birth anniversary

New Delhi, Nov 19 (UNI) Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and former party chief Rahul Gandhi paid rich tributes to former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on Wednesday, marking her 108th birth anniversary. In a personal message, Rahul Gandhi, her grandson, credited her with inspiring his political conduct.
"The inspiration to make fearless decisions for India and to always prioritize the nation's interest in every situation has come to me from my grandmother," Rahul Gandhi wrote in a post on X. "Her courage, patriotism, and ethics continue to give me the courage to stand firmly against injustice even today."
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge hailed Indira Gandhi's leadership and her ultimate sacrifice for the country. Kharge described her leadership as "exemplary and dynamic," noting that her "unwavering resolve and lifelong dedication to public service left an indelible mark on India's journey of progress."
