Congress calls emergency CWC meeting Thursday over Pahalgam terror attack

New Delhi, Apr 23 (UNI) The Congress party has called an emergency Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting on Thursday at the AICC Office here in the wake of the deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, that left 26 dead.
According to a statement issued by party general secretary KC Venugopal, the meeting will be held at 11 am at the 24, Akbar Road office.
Meanwhile, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge in a statement on Wednesday said, “CWC shall meet tomorrow at 11 am in AICC Office, Delhi (24 Akbar Road) to discuss regarding the same. That is why I have pre-poned my programme, and I am leaving for Delhi”.
Notably, the attack, which took place on Tuesday in the scenic Baisaran Valley near Pahalgam, left 25 tourists and one local resident dead.
