Congress announces second phase protest against Modi govt for 'undermining' MGNREGA

Kannur, Jan 10 (UNI) Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Sunny Joseph, MLA announced that the Congress will launch a second phase of protest against the Narendra Modi-led Central Government for "undermining the MGNREGA through new legislation".
Addressing a press conference at DCC office here on Saturday, Sunny Joseph said, a day-and-night protest will be held in front of Raj Bhavan, Thiruvananthapuram on January 13 and 14, with the participation of party workers and elected representatives. He urged public support to ensure the agitation's success.
KPCC president said, January 30, Mahatma Gandhi's Martyrdom Day, will be observed as "Job Protection Day" in all panchayat wards across the State.
