Congress adopts wait-and-watch strategy over final Rajya Sabha seat in Karnataka

Bengaluru, June 6 (UNI): With the June 8 deadline for filing nominations for the Rajya Sabha elections approaching, the Karnataka unit of the Congress has adopted a "wait and watch" approach over its final seat, KPCC President BK Hariprasad said on Saturday.
Hariprasad said the party will take a final call only after assessing the Bharatiya Janata Party's move on fielding candidates. "We will wait till the 8th and see how many candidates the BJP will field. Then we will decide. We have already filed four nominations, and one more will be filed on Monday," he said.
The Congress has already announced its list of seven candidates for the Rajya Sabha polls, including party president Mallikarjun Kharge, along with Mansoor Ali Khan, Pawan Khera, Meenakshi Natarajan, Neeraj Dangi, Praveen Chakravarty and Pranav Jha.
