Cong steps up attack on centre over Ayodhya Trust; Jairam Ramesh backs LoPs' letter to PM

New Delhi, Jul 19 (UNI) Congress general secretary in charge of communications Jairam Ramesh on Sunday backed the joint letter written by Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking an independent probe into the financial affairs of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust and accused the Prime Minister of remaining silent over the alleged financial irregularities.
In a post on social media platform X, Ramesh said it was "only appropriate" that the two leaders of the Opposition had written to the Prime Minister regarding what he described as the "Chanda Chori Astha Dhoka" involving the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust in Ayodhya.
"It is only appropriate that the two LOPs have written to the PM on the Chanda Chori Astha Dhoka involving the Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust in Ayodhya," Ramesh said.
