Cong leader Kadiyam Srihari blames BRS for defeat of AAP in Delhi

Cong leader Kadiyam Srihari blames BRS for defeat of AAP in Delhi

Hanumakonda (Telangana), Feb 9 (UNI) Congress leader and Station Ghanpur MLA Kadiyam Srihari made sharp remarks regarding the results of the Delhi Assembly elections, stating that the BRS party played a crucial role in the Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) defeat.
Speaking to the media in Hanumakonda on Sunday, Srihari alleged that AAP lost due to the liquor scam and its association with BRS. He opined that AAP would have fared better if it had joined hands with the Congress instead of contesting alone.
He also claimed that former Telangana minister KTR would be pleased if the BJP secured victory in the Delhi elections.
On the issue of the disqualification petition of MLAs, Srihari said the case is currently with the Supreme Court, with a verdict expected on February 10. He asserted that he would abide by the court’s decision and confirmed his intention to contest if by-elections were held.
Further targeting the BRS, Srihari accused the party of engaging in selfish politics and lacking the moral right to speak about political defections.
He pointed out that BRS leaders themselves had welcomed defecting MLAs in the past but were now criticising similar moves by others.
