Cong Govt allocates Rs 2,216 cr for temple development, Rs 1,000 cr for Godavari Pushkaralu: Bhatti

Mancherial, June 13 (UNI) Telangana Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Saturday said the Congress government is giving equal importance to education, healthcare and spirituality, and has allocated Rs 2,216 crore for temple development across the state.
Speaking after laying the foundation stone for development works at the Sri Satyanarayana Swamy Temple at Guddemgutta in Mancherial constituency, Bhatti announced that the temple would be developed into a major spiritual destination with an investment of nearly Rs 70 crore.
The Deputy Chief Minister said the government had also sanctioned Rs 1,000 crore for the upcoming Godavari Pushkaralu to create infrastructure and bathing ghats for devotees.
