Cong committed to full rights of women: Kharge, Rahul

New Delhi, Sep 15 (UNI) Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Sunday extended their best wishes to workers of All India Mahila Congress on its foundation day and said that their tireless hard work is playing an important role in empowering the women of India.
Taking to his social media handle, X Kharge said, "It is a constitutional obligation to ensure that half the population gets their full rights, to which the Congress party is fully committed."
"The women power of our country has made an equal contribution in nation-building, from the freedom struggle to space flight," Kharge said.
Hea said, "It is the responsibility of All India Mahila Congress to fight for the rights of our women from the streets to the Parliament and fight strongly against women insecurity, workplace participation, inflation, unemployment, social exploitation, inequality, and misogynistic mentality."
"Many congratulations and best wishes to all the officials and workers on the foundation day of Mahila Congress," the Congress president said.
Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, while extending his best wishes to All India Mahila Congress workers on X, said, "Your tireless hard work is playing an important role in empowering the women of India."
"Salute to your struggle and dedication for their respect, equality, and security," Rahul said.
