Conditions favourable for cessation of northeast Monsoon rains over Tamil Nadu & Puducherry

Pune, Jan 25 (UNI) Conditions are becoming favourable for cessation of northeast Monsoon rains over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe and adjoining areas of coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Rayalaseema and south interior Karnataka during next 2 days.

Night temperatures were markedly above normal (5.1°C or more) at isolated places over Odisha, Assam and Meghalaya; appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at a few places Konkan and Goa; at isolated places over Bihar, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at isolated places over Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab, east Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat state, Kerala and Mahe, Rayalaseema and east Rajasthan. These were below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at isolated places over west Rajasthan, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam and Telangana.

Mumbai airport to shut for six hours on Nov 20
