COAS inaugurates systems integration facility, launches six new Army applications

New Delhi, May 20 (UNI) Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Upendra Dwivedi visited the Directorate General of Information Systems (DGIS) to review the Indian Army's ongoing initiatives in digitalisation, Artificial Intelligence (AI), systems integration and technology-enabled transformation, according to the Additional Directorate General of Public Information (ADGPI).
During the visit, the Army Chief inaugurated the Systems Integration and Test Facility (SITF), a dedicated facility established for the development, testing, and validation of the Command Information and Decision Support System (CIDSS), a key platform aimed at enhancing operational planning, decision-making, and integrated battlefield management capabilities within the Indian Army.
The COAS also launched six new-generation applications designed to strengthen operational effectiveness, logistics integration, structured data generation, and digitised administrative processes across the Army. The initiatives are part of the force's broader push towards modernisation and adoption of advanced digital technologies to improve efficiency, interoperability, and real-time decision support.
