CM Sai directs officials to ensure that law of the land prevails

New Delhi (October 13 UNI): In a high-level conference with district collectors and superintendents of police, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai laid down a strict directive for the administration: the police's image must be such that criminals fear the law and the common citizen feels secure.
The conference, held on Monday, focused on a comprehensive review of law and order, narcotics control, road safety, and the prevention of cybercrime. The CM emphasized that the Collector and SP share equal responsibility in maintaining law and order in their districts, and any laxity would be viewed as administrative negligence.
Outlining a zero-tolerance policy, the Chief Minister instructed officials to crack down on serious crimes like public disorder, knife crimes, and murder. He called for intensive monitoring and strict action in sensitive matters such as cow smuggling and religious conversion, urging districts with improved crime control to serve as models for others.
