CM posts young IPS officers to tackle Hyderabad traffic congestion

Hyderabad, Jan 18 (UNI) In an effort to strengthen law and order and address growing public concerns, particularly traffic congestion across the Greater Hyderabad region, the Chief Minister has posted a set of young IPS officers to key traffic positions in major urban police commissionerates.
A statement from the DGP office on Sunday said the latest transfers are aimed at evolving long-term and sustainable solutions to the traffic issues faced by city residents, with officers known for field-level experience being entrusted with responsibilities to ensure better enforcement and smoother regulation on the ground.
After assuming office, the Chief Minister had directed officials to intensify action against cybercrimes and drug trafficking, and while those initiatives continue, focused attention has now been shifted towards strengthening traffic management.
