Class 12 student stabbed to death by classmates in Prayagraj

Prayagraj, Sep 10 (UNI) A Class 12 student was today stabbed to death by fellow students inside a college in Yamuna Nagar area of Prayagraj district in Uttar Pradesh, according to the police soures.
Police sources said that Avnish Pandey, who was a student of Indira Gandhi Inter College, had a dispute with other students a few days ago. "This morning, there was a quarrel between the two again. When Avnish finished his class and started coming down the stairs, other students who were already waiting attacked him with a knife. The knife hit Avnish's neck directly. Following the incident, there was a stir in the entire college," they said.
Police sources said that the injured student was immediately taken to the hospital but he died due to excessive bleeding. "After stabbing, both the accused students ran away from the college," they said.
