China nearly stops purchasing grain from Ukraine, EU

Beijing, Apr 21 (UNI) China has sharply reduced grain imports from several countries, which used to be its main suppliers, especially from Ukraine and the European Union, according to Sputnik's analysis of Chinese customs' data.
Earlier in the day, the Chinese authorities said that it had reduced the volume of grain import in March fourfold, to
463.9 million. Imports of corn faced one of the most significant reductions among cereals - 23 times, wheat import was reduced by 10.6 times.
