Chhattisgarh: Over 20 passengers injured in bus-truck collision in Bilaspur

Bilaspur, May 18 (UNI) Over 20 passengers, including women and children, were injured in a head-on collision of a passenger bus and a truck in Bilaspur district of Chhattisgarh on Sunday, police said.
Local residents immediately took the injured to the community health centre. After initial treatment, the seriously injured were shifted to the Bilaspur district hospital.
The bus was travelling from Mungeli to Bilaspur when it collided with a speeding truck at Patharia turn near Takhatpur. The accident took place at around 9 am.

A total of 261,501 applications were received from all 75 districts in the state in the first phase of the 2026-27 academic session, compared to 132,446 in the first phase of the previous 2025-26 academic session.
