Chhattisgarh CM calls for active citizenship, sustainable tourism on national day observances

Raipur, Jan 24 (UNI) Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Saturday extended greetings to the people of the state on the eve of National Voters’ Day and National Tourism Day, underlining the centrality of informed citizenship and responsible tourism in strengthening democracy and economic growth.
In his message marking National Voters’ Day on January 25, the Chief Minister said the occasion reaffirms India’s democratic foundations, constitutional values and the role of citizens in safeguarding electoral integrity. He noted that India’s democratic strength lies in widespread participation and a credible electoral system recognised across the world.
Sai emphasised that the right to vote is not merely a legal entitlement but a fundamental civic obligation linked to nation-building.
