Chhattisgarh Assembly adjourned over Cong din

Raipur, July 14 (UNI) The Chhattisgarh Assembly was briefly adjourned today due to sloganeering by opposition Congress members who were incensed over rejection of an adjournment notice regarding paucity of fertiliser and seeds.
Earlier, the Monsoon Session commenced with tributes being paid to erstwhile governor Shekhar Dutt and former member Surendra Bahadur Singh.
The Opposition attempted to place the government in the dock over recruitment scams and peasants' woes. The Treasury benches came under friendly fire when Rajesh Munat (BJP) raised the issue of inconsistencies in the revenue inspectors' recruitment test. He asked why departmental action did not follow the finding of irregularities by the inquiry committee. Minister Tank Ram Verma responded by saying that the Economic Offences Wing is probing the matter.
