Chandrasekhar’s proposal realized as Vande Bharat Ernakulam–Bengaluru service flagged off

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 8 (UNI) Kerala BJP President Rajeev Chandrasekhar’s long-standing proposal for a Vande Bharat Express service connecting Ernakulam and Bengaluru has become a reality on Saturday, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurating the inaugural train through a video conferencing event.
The proposal was first formally presented by Rajeev Chandrasekhar to union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw during a virtual meeting on October 8.
During the discussion, the Minister assured that the service would be considered and confirmed that it would be launched by mid-November — a promise now fulfilled. Expressing his gratitude, Rajeev Chandrasekhar thanked the Central Government for approving the Vande Bharat service from Ernakulam to Bengaluru via Thrissur and Palakkad. “Bengaluru employs a large number of Malayalis, especially in the IT sector. For a long time, there has been a strong demand for more train services from Kerala to Bengaluru,” he said.
