Chandigarh stands alone at top of India's school education rankings

Chandigarh, July 9 (UNI) Chandigarh has reaffirmed its position as the country's benchmark in school education, emerging as the highest-ranked state/Union Territory in the Performance Grading Index (PGI) 2.0 for 2025-26 released by the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education.
With an impressive 766 out of 1,000 marks, Chandigarh is the only state or union Territory in India to be placed in the 'Uttam-3' category, setting it apart from all 35 other states and UTs.
