Chamera-III Dam to release water into Ravi River late tonight

Chamba, Jan 20 (UNI) The Chamera-III hydroelectric project of the National Hydroelectric Power Corporation will be under complete shutdown from January 21 to February 5.
According to information provided by the project management, the process of emptying the Chamera-III dam reservoir at Khadamukh will begin late Tuesday night.
During this period, there will be a free flow of water in the Ravi River. The gates of the Chamera-III dam at Khadamukh will be opened completely in a phased manner while emptying the reservoir. This will lead to an increase in the water level in the downstream areas of the Ravi River.
