CEO Anindita Mitra conducts state-level training for Punjab SIR

Chandigarh, June 8 (UNI) The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Punjab, organized a comprehensive state-level training session on Monday for administrative personnel deployed for the upcoming Special Intensive Revision (SIR). The initiative is aimed at ensuring a completely seamless, structured, and error-free execution of the electoral roll revision process across the state.
Inaugurating the sessions, Punjab Chief Electoral Officer Mrs. Anindita Mitra announced that the critical house-to-house enumeration phase of the SIR is scheduled to commence across all districts on June 25, 2026.
She emphasized that absolute clarity regarding official directives, procedural guidelines, and operational frameworks is imperative at the higher administrative levels to effectively guide the grassroots workforce. Mitra underlined that the foundational efficacy of the entire exercise relies on the precision of the training extended to ground-level functionaries.
