Centre aims to set up 6,000 water testing labs: Union Jal Shakti Minister

New Delhi, Nov 11 (UNI) Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said on Wednesday that the Centre has put-up 2,000 water testing laboratories and targets 4,000 more in coming years.
The move is aimed to transform the drinking water sector by improving the quantity, quality, and regularity of water supply, he added.
"The government has put up water-quality testing infrastructure available to every village to improve water service by instituting 2000 water testing laboratories and targeting 6000 laboratories in the coming year," he said during a private event.
